At Beaufort 4–5, choose the morning departure, take the conventional ferry for longer crossings, and plan beach time at sheltered bays rather than exposed north-facing shores. At Beaufort 6+, the Cyclades reward slow travel: settle on a single island, find a taverna on the sheltered side, and let the Meltemi do its work.
