Morning Departures — More Than Habit

On any Aegean short hop in July or August, morning departures are not just a preference — they are the operationally reliable option. The Meltemi builds through the morning and peaks in the afternoon. A 07:30 caïque from Kos runs in conditions that cancel the 15:00 service. Check conditions on the morning of travel, take the early crossing, and spend the rest of the day on the destination island rather than waiting at the port.
