Teleporio™ — Greek Island Travel Intelligence
Travel Data Sources
Transparency about our travel data. Where Teleporio™ gets ferry schedules, flight data, Beaufort wind forecasts, and Georgios' local travel tips.
Where Our Data Comes From
Teleporio™ is a travel intelligence platform, not a primary data provider. We aggregate, normalise, and add an intelligence layer to data from multiple sources to help you plan your trip. We believe transparency about data provenance matters, especially for a destination like the Greek islands where schedules genuinely shift with the seasons, the weather, and local operator decisions.
Ferry schedule and availability data is derived from official operator publications — including Blue Star Ferries, SeaJets, and Hellenic Seaways — aggregated via industry-standard GDS feeds, though real-time availability should always be confirmed at the point of booking. Our Beaufort and sea-condition forecasts are powered by the Open-Meteo Marine API, drawing on global and regional models to assess wave height, swell direction, and wind speed. Flight connection data comes from airline schedule aggregators covering Sky Express, Olympic Air, Aegean Airlines, and seasonal charter operators. Route-specific local intelligence — port logistics, seasonal advice, Georgios' tips — comes from our own editorial team, built on first-hand travel experience.
Data Limitations
There can be a delay between an operator changing a schedule and that change reflecting on our platform. Beaufort forecasts are predictions, and sea conditions can shift faster than any model captures. For less frequent or seasonal routes, we sometimes rely on historic schedule data to give a representative view of likely availability rather than a live guarantee. We provide these scores to help you choose the best option, but we are not the official record — always verify your final itinerary directly with the ferry operator or airline before travel.
