Teleporio™ is committed to transparency about the role artificial intelligence plays in producing the travel intelligence we publish. This page explains exactly where AI tools are used, where they are not, and what safeguards we apply to ensure that every factual claim on the platform is accurate and trustworthy.

Why This Disclosure Matters

Travel decisions carry real financial and logistical weight. If you book a ferry based on a crossing time we publish, you need to trust that the crossing time is correct. If you plan a sailing trip around a month's Beaufort forecast, you need confidence that the wind probability figures are derived from real meteorological data. We therefore believe that any use of AI in producing travel content must be fully disclosed, so you can make an informed judgement about how much weight to give what you read.

Where AI Tools Are Used on Teleporio™

AI tools assist with three specific tasks at Teleporio™. First, in the early research phase of editorial content: when our team begins drafting a new island guide or route description, AI may be used to organise publicly available information into a working outline. This outline is a starting point for human research, not a finished product. Second, in structural drafting: AI may produce initial paragraph drafts that our editors then substantially rewrite, verify, and fact-check against primary sources — official ferry operator schedules, Greek port authority data, and direct operator contact. Third, in data pattern analysis: AI tools are used to identify patterns in large Beaufort datasets. The resulting insights are reviewed by our team and written up in plain language before publication.

Where AI Is Not Used

AI is never used to generate ferry schedules, sailing times, or port information. All schedule data on Teleporio™ is sourced directly from ferry operators or verified against official timetables. AI is never used to write safety guidance. All Beaufort advisories, sea condition warnings, and safety recommendations are authored by our human team based on verified meteorological data. AI is not used to generate the Teleporio Score™. The scoring methodology is defined, documented, and applied by our team. AI is not used for automated responses to traveller enquiries — all responses are written by a human.

Human Editorial Review

No content generated or assisted by AI is published on Teleporio™ without passing through human editorial review. Our standard for editorial publication is accuracy: every factual claim — a crossing time, a port fee, a Beaufort frequency percentage — must be verifiable against a named primary source before it appears in our content. If our team cannot verify a claim, it is not published regardless of what an AI tool may have suggested.

Labelling AI-Assisted Content

Where a published piece of content has been substantially assisted by AI tools in its initial drafting, we note this at the end of the article. Our definition of "substantially assisted" means that more than approximately thirty percent of the structural outline or initial paragraph drafts were AI-generated before human editing. Content that uses AI only for light research assistance is not individually labelled, but is covered by this disclosure.

Future Use

We may expand our use of AI tools as the technology develops and as relevant quality-assured applications emerge in the travel intelligence space. Any new use of AI that affects the production of factual content will be added to this disclosure and will continue to be subject to the same human review standard described above. If we introduce AI-powered features visible to users — such as itinerary generation or personalised recommendations — these will be clearly labelled in the product at the point of use.
